Mine collapse in Türkiye traps two miners, rescue eforts underway

Emergency teams are working on rescuing two miners trapped after a cave-in at a local mine in the Turkish village of Karaismailler, located in the Osmaniye province.
The incident occurred under circumstances that remain unclear. The two miners, identified as Hüseyin Turan and Ömer Duran, became trapped up to their waists in soil following the collapse. Both men are alive, and authorities have confirmed that contact has been established with them, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.
After the collapse, Turkish gendarmerie, medical teams, firefighters, and search-and-rescue units from Türkiye’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) were dispatched to the scene.
