Minister: Turkish people always make right decisions
Türkiye's Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank has said that Turkish people always make the right decisions.
He told reporters after voting in the second round of presidential elections, Report informs.
He expressed confidence in the successful outcome of the elections: "Every vote counts. That is why I call on all our citizens to vote. It's a civic duty."
To recap, the second round of presidential elections is taking place in Türkiye on May 28.
In the first round, held on May 14, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan got 49.52 per cent of the votes, while Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, leader of the opposition, got 44.88 per cent and Sinan Oğan, candidate of the ATA alliance, got 5.17 per cent. The voter turnout was 88.92 per cent.
Later, Ogan expressed his support for the incumbent head of state.
Since none of the candidates won more than 50 per cent of the votes in the first round, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu continue their fight in the second round of presidential elections.
