Minister: Türkiye detains dozens of suspects As part of Operation KAFES-29 in Istanbul/VIDEO
Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya has said that two criminal groups were identified as part of Operation KAFES-29, carried out in Istanbul.
“During the operation carried out by the Department for Combating Smuggling and Organized Crime of the General Directorate of the Turkish Police and the Department for Combating Organized Crime of the Istanbul Police Department, carried out simultaneously in 7 districts, two criminal groups were identified, led by Volkan Recber, wanted on the red bulletin, and by the still imprisoned Emrah Sever, nicknamed 'Arab Emrah',” Yerlikaya wrote on X, Caliber.Az reports.
A total of 61 people were detained as part of the operation, the minister noted.
