Minister: Türkiye launches sweeping anti-drug operation video
Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya has announced that the security forces seized huge volumes of drugs and detained numerous suspects in a sweeping anti-drug operation conducted across six provinces.
“During coordinated operations across six provinces, authorities seized 548 kilograms of narcotics and detained 185 suspects,” Caliber.Az reports via the minister’s message on X.

Out of the total detainees, 172 individuals were formally arrested, while 13 were placed under judicial supervision, the minister confirmed.
Earlier, an extensive anti-drug operation across 75 Turkish provinces over the past three weeks resulted in the seizure of more than one ton of drugs and the detention of over 2,300 suspects. Authorities confiscated 1 ton and 24 kilograms of various narcotic substances, along with 5.375 million narcotic pills.
