Moderate 4.1-magnitude earthquake hits Iran’s Semnan province

A moderate earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale struck Iran’s Semnan province early on June 2, according to the Iranian Seismological Center.
The tremor occurred at 05:55 local time near the town of Zaman Abad, at a shallow depth of 8 kilometres, Caliber.Az reports per Iranian media.
The epicentre was recorded at coordinates 57.17 degrees longitude and 35.25 degrees latitude.
Officials have not reported any casualties or damage so far. Authorities continue to monitor the situation.
