Moscow anticipates productive talks with Yerevan at December EEU, CIS summits
Moscow expects fruitful high-level discussions with Yerevan during upcoming events in December under the frameworks of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), according to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin.
Speaking at the second public forum "Russia – Armenia" Galuzin stated that he was looking forward to effective interactions between the leaders, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.
"We are looking forward to effective interactions between our leaders during the forthcoming December events in Moscow under the auspices of the EEU and CIS," he stated.
Despite well-known issues, a consistent and multifaceted dialogue continues between Russia and Armenia, according to Galuzin.
Earlier, Russian Presidential Assistant Yuri Ushakov announced that the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council will take place in St. Petersburg on December 25 at the request of Armenia, which currently holds the presidency of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
During the meeting, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will preside over the proceedings.
