Moscow court drops lawsuit against Navai rapper

Russian-language rapper of Azerbaijani descent Navai Bakirov, a member of the duo HammAli & Navai, has paid 91,282 roubles (about $1,000) to compensate Moscow's Centre for Traffic Management for road infrastructure damaged in a traffic accident.

The Centre for Traffic Management told Russian media that the accident happened on May 5 on Zubovsky Boulevard and involved a Ferrari driven by Bakirov.

A traffic signal controller, a traffic light, an extension unit for the controller and two road signs were damaged in the crash.

The centre said it had withdrawn its lawsuit after Bakirov voluntarily paid the full amount of the damage and that it had no further claims against him.

On September 23, Moscow's Kuntsevsky District Court ended the civil proceedings after the centre withdrew its claim following the compensation payment.

Bakirov is a member of HammAli & Navai alongside Alexander Gromov.
