Moscow, Dushanbe agree to open reciprocal ministry offices
13 May 2026 17:51
Russia and Tajikistan have agreed to establish reciprocal government offices in their respective capitals as part of a bilateral arrangement aimed at strengthening cooperation on security and migration management.
Under the agreement, which has been ratified by Russia’s State Duma, Tajikistan will open representations of its Interior Ministry and Labour Ministry in Moscow.
In parallel, Russia will establish a representative office of its Interior Ministry in Dushanbe.
Authorities said the framework is intended to enhance coordination in areas including the fight against transnational organised crime, drug trafficking, and the regulation of labour migration flows between the two countries.
