Moscow reassigns ambassadors in Türkiye, Uzbekistan in official decree

Russia’s ambassador to Türkiye, Alexei Yerkhov, has been relieved of his duties, according to a decree signed by President Vladimir Putin.
According to Caliber.Az, the announcement was published on the official portal for legal documents, though the reasons for the decision were not disclosed.
The decree states: “To suspend Alexei Vladimirovich Yerkhov of the duties of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Türkiye.”
In a related move, President Putin also dismissed Oleg Malginov from his post as ambassador to Uzbekistan. Yerkhov will take over this position.
