Moscow records over 102,000 crimes so far in 2025

Over 102,000 crimes have been recorded in Moscow in the first 10 months of 2025.

According to the Moscow Prosecutor’s Office, in the 10 months of the year, some 102,056 crimes were registered in Moscow (-5.4%), TASS reports.

Nearly 24,000 crimes were committed in public places, including 12,400 on the streets.

According to the indicates of the supervisory authority, thefts declined by 17.4% and fraud by 10.2%, while IT-enabled offences were down 11.6% from last year’s figures.

Moreover, with the coordinating role of the Moscow Prosecutor’s Office, 47 cold-case murders and 17 past intentional grievous bodily harm cases resulting in death by negligence were solved — increases of 9.3% and 41.7% respectively year-on-year.
