Motto for F1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix presented

The motto of the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix to be held in Baku this summer has been revealed.

“The motto of the sixth Grand Prix will be "F1 returns: to track and to stands!", Baku City Circuit Operations Company, the event’s organizer in Azerbaijan, was quoted as saying by Report.

In addition, Baku City Circuit has presented the most striking visual effects of the season. For the first time they have been symbolized using the colors of the Azerbaijani flag – blue, red, and green.

The upcoming F1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, which will be the eighth round of the championships, will take place on June 10-12.

Azerbaijan welcomed the first Formula One Grand Prix, known as the European Grand Prix, in 2016. The motorsport event was consecutively hosted by the country in 2017, 2018, and 2019.  The race in Baku was canceled in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, and in 2021 it took place without fans.

The Baku City Circuit racetrack runs through several major streets of Baku along the Caspian Sea promenade. It boasts the “fastest street circuit in the world” and the second-longest on the current F1 calendar, measuring 6.003 kilometers in length and coming behind the longest Spa Francorchamps (7.004 km) racetrack in Belgium.
