MP: Armenia not discussing leaving CSTO, EAEU

Armenia is currently not discussing the issue of withdrawal from the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO).

The remarks came from the head of the parliamentary standing committee on foreign relations, member of the ruling faction Sarkis Khandanyan during at a briefing, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.

"We are not discussing this issue at the moment," he said.

Armenian authorities have repeatedly stated that Armenia has no intention to withdraw from the CSTO or the EAEU.

In addition, the parliament speaker and the prime minister have previously speculated that "perhaps the CSTO is leaving Armenia."
