Nakhchivan army units join Turkish forces for “Heydar Aliyev-2026” drills
Units of Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Separate Combined Arms Army have traveled to Türkiye to participate in the joint military exercises “Heydar Aliyev-2026,” according to a statement from Turkish Ministry of National Defence.
The ministry said that the Azerbaijani units had arrived in Türkiye to take part in the drills alongside the command of the Turkish 14th Mechanised Infantry Brigade, Caliber.Az reports.

It added that personnel from Türkiye's 5th Border Brigade welcomed the Azerbaijani servicemen at the Umid Bridge, where a flag-exchange ceremony was held to mark their arrival.
