NATO fighter jets conduct intensive training flights over Estonia
NATO fighter jets are undertaking a series of training flights across Estonian airspace from November 17 to 23.
The exercises are scheduled daily between 10:00 and 22:00 and feature low-altitude maneuvers, though aircraft are restricted from descending below 152 metres. Flight paths have been carefully designed to avoid densely populated areas and isolated homesteads, minimizing disruption for local residents, Caliber.Az reports, citing Estonian media.
The training will also include operations involving supersonic aircraft. All activities are being coordinated with Estonia’s Civil Aviation Administration to ensure the safety of civilian air traffic and maintain orderly management of the country’s airspace.
These exercises form part of NATO’s routine regional readiness programs, designed to enhance operational interoperability among allied forces and maintain a high level of combat preparedness in the region.
