NATO’s annual military drill in Georgia comes to close
The multinational NATO military exercise "Agile Spirit 2025" held in Georgia has officially come to an end.
The closing ceremony took place at the combat training center in Vaziani, near Tbilisi, Caliber.Az reports referring to the corresponding press statement by the Georgian Ministry of Defence.
The final phase of the drills, which began on July 25, was attended by representatives from Georgia's Ministry of Defence. During the event, the US Embassy to the South Caucasian nation awarded medals and certificates to service members who demonstrated outstanding performance.
Participating in the exercise were troops from Georgia, the United States, Türkiye, Poland, Germany, Italy, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Lithuania, and Ukraine. Observing missions from Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Japan were also present.
The "Agile Spirit" drill has been hosted annually in Georgia since 2011. Initially a joint US-Georgian initiative, the drills have been conducted under NATO auspices since 2015.
