NATO's ex-chief, Armenian defence minister meet in Yerevan

Former NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, who is the founder of the Rasmussen Global political consulting organisation, has met Armenian Defence Minister Suren Papikyan in Yerevan.

The statement came from the Armenian Defence Ministry press service, Caliber.Az reports with reference to Armenian media.

"At the request of the ex-head of the organisation, the Armenian minister presented the latest regional processes and the current situation. Regional security issues were discussed," the report says.

Rasmussen served as Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance from 2009 to 2014.

This is not Rasmussen's first visit to Armenia, the first time he visited this country as NATO secretary-general in September 2012.
