Nearly 100,000 Russians enter Kazakhstan since Sept. 21
About 98,000 Russian citizens have entered Kazakhstan since September 21.
Aslan Atalykov, Acting Chairman of the Migration Service Committee of Kazakhstan’s Interior Ministry, made the statement at a briefing on September 26, TASS reports.
According to him, slightly more than 8,000 non-residents of the country have received Kazakh individual identification numbers (IINs) since September 21.
In Kazakhstan, IIN is a unique combination of 12 digits, generated for an individual during initial registration in the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system (SCADA).
IIN is written on the front side of the identity card of a Kazakh citizen and is also indicated in the passport. For obtaining an IIN, foreign citizens should open an account in the Kazakh banks for purchasing real estate and a vehicle in Kazakhstan, as well as for doing business. Foreigners are not demanded to visit Kazakhstan to get IIN, it can be acquired through power of attorney.
