Nearly 20 Armenian soldiers said detained on border with Azerbaijan

The number of Armenian soldiers detained as a result of the new Armenian-Azerbaijani border escalation on the night of September 13 to 14 is estimated to be close to 20.

Siranush Sahakyan, a representative of the interests of Armenian war prisoners at the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), made the remarks on September 15, Сaliber.Az reports, citing the Yerevan-based newspaper Hraparak.

"Videos are also being studied with new detainees to find out their identity, the [International Committee of the] Red Cross also collects data based on statements from relatives. Therefore, everyone who recognizes their relatives in these videos should contact the Red Cross," she added.
