NetBlocks says Iran internet blackout reaches 70th day
08 May 2026 13:12
Internet monitoring organisation NetBlocks said Iran’s nationwide internet blackout has reached its 70th day, with disruptions surpassing 1,656 hours.
In a statement posted online, NetBlocks said the prolonged restrictions on digital connectivity were continuing to affect large parts of the population, Caliber.Az reports.
“Digital connectivity is vital in times of crisis, and limiting service harms those most in need — people with disabilities, students, small businesses and the general public,” the organisation said.
