New Iranian commander vows fierce retaliation against Israel following strikes
Major General Mohammad Pakpour, the newly appointed Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has vowed severe retribution in response to the recent Israeli attacks, warning that Tehran “will open the gates of hell soon to the regime.”
In a message addressed to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei—who commands all Iranian armed forces—Pakpour offered condolences for his predecessors and comrades who were killed in what he described as “savage Israeli terrorist attacks,” Caliber.Az reports per Iranian media.
He further declared, “The criminal and illegitimate Zionist regime will face a bitter and painful fate with huge and destructive consequences, and soon the gates of hell will be opened to this child-killing regime.”
"With a greenlight from the United States, the Israeli regime began military strikes in and near the Iranian capital, Tehran, as well as other cities in Iran in early hours of June 13," Iranian media reported.
Images showed damaged residential buildings in several locations in the capital. Eyewitnesses and reporters from the state TV said they saw the bodies of women and children among the victims.
