New radar integrated into Turkish AKINCI attack drone PHOTO
The Turkish AKINCI drone is being prepared for flight, Ahmet Akyol, General Director of ASELSAN, has said.
He made the remarks in an interview with Anadolu on the sidelines of the TEKNOFEST aviation, astronautics and technology festival in Izmir.
Akyol announced the completion of integration into the MURAD active electronic scanning radar platform, which will significantly expand the capabilities of the AKINCI attack drone.
“This is a product developed by several countries that provides significant added value in terms of the capabilities of our UAVs. We called it MURAD. We have integrated this radar into the AKINCI attack UAV. We will conduct test flights in the coming days. This radar is a product that can track multiple targets, distinguish targets at a long distance,” he said.
