Newspaper: Azerbaijan, Armenia prepare to end OSCE Minsk Group
Baku and Yerevan are preparing to issue a joint statement on the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group by summer 2025, according to pro-government sources in Armenia.
This announcement, reported by the Hraparak newspaper in Yerevan, follows a shift in the political dynamics between the two nations, per Caliber.Az.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev are expected to jointly present the statement, marking a significant diplomatic step, the daily notes.
According to the newspaper, while Pashinyan had previously conditioned his support for the dissolution on the signing of a peace treaty, recent statements by President Aliyev seem to have prompted a change in stance.
After these developments, Pashinyan appears ready to move forward with the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group, signalling a new chapter in the relationship between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
