Nine athletes killed in Iran’s West Azerbaijan following Israeli strikes

Nine young athletes from Iran’s West Azerbaijan province were killed as a result of recent Israeli attacks on the country, according to Iranian media.

The province’s Director General for Sports and Youth confirmed the names of the deceased: Mohammad Reza Abdi, Captain Tohid Imani, Yaser Mikaeli, Jafar Golshani, Mobin Ebrahimi-Asl, Milad Kohkalani, Yasna Mirzazade, Morteza Khan Ahmadi, and Javad Lotfi.
