Nine police officers poisoned by unknown substance in Türkiye
Nine police officers sought medical attention after being exposed to a smell while inspecting a suspicious substance in the fuel tank of a car in Bolu, Türkiye.
According to TRT Haber, the authorities of the province reported the incident.
Information indicates that on Tuesday evening, during a raid conducted by the anti-narcotics department, a vehicle with foreign license plates was inspected. During the inspection, a suspicious substance was found in the car’s fuel tank, and its fumes caused poisoning among the police officers.
The injured were rushed to the hospital: two were placed in intensive care, three are receiving treatment as inpatients, three were released for outpatient care, and one did not require hospitalisation.
Investigations have been launched, and the circumstances of the incident are being clarified.
