NIOC chief says Iran’s oil production exceeds official figures

Iran’s actual oil production is significantly higher than figures published by official institutions and international sources, according to Hamid Bovard, managing director of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC).

Iran International reported the remarks.

Bovard said the country’s actual production volumes are “definitely higher than the figures cited by international specialised publications and organisations.”

He also said Iran’s oil exports during the recent war increased by about 10% compared with the pre-war period.
