No more attacks on neighbours, Iranian president pledges

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian addressed the nation on television, apologising to neighbouring countries and confirming that Iran has no intention of attacking other states. 

He added that the country’s Interim Leadership Council had decided that neighbouring states would no longer be targeted, and missile strikes would only be carried out in response to aggression against Iran, according to an Iranian Telegram channel.

The president emphasised that the involvement of every Iranian raises concern among the country’s enemies and called on citizens to set aside personal disagreements and grievances for the sake of Iran’s security.
