Official Ankara rejects reports of $10 million aid to Armenia as baseless PHOTO
Official Ankara has dismissed reports that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan ordered material aid worth $10 million to be provided to those in need in Armenia as unfounded.
The statement was issued by the Disinformation Combat Department of the Communications Directorate of the Turkish Presidency, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media.
The department stated that claims about providing Armenia with $10 million in aid are disinformation.
“Statements that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan signed a decree to provide material aid worth $10 million to the families of fallen soldiers in Armenia and to those in need are completely unfounded," it noted.
"We consider it important for the public not to trust disinformation targeting our country and Turkish-Azerbaijani relations, and to rely only on statements from official structures,” the statement added.
