Official: Armenia-Russia trade turnover hits $3.8 billion in Jan-Oct 2022
Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan has said that the trade turnover between Armenia and Russia in the first 10 months of 2022 hit a record high and reached $3.8 billion.
Grigoryan made the remarks at a meeting of the intergovernmental commission on bilateral economic cooperation, TASS reports.
“We have observed record levels of mutual trade. The trade turnover between our countries reached $3.8 billion for 10 months of 2022, which exceeds the figure for the same period in 2021 by more than 85 per cent,” he said.
Grigoryan added that “imports by country of origin of goods from Russia to Armenia amounted to the equivalent of $2.1 billion, which exceeds the figure for the same period in 2021 by more than 53 per cent, exports from Armenia to Russia amounted to the equivalent of $1.7 billion, which exceeds the figure of the same period of 2021 by 2.5 times".
The deputy prime minister said that there is “mutual and absolute constructivism and mutual understanding between Armenia and Russia on cooperation in multilateral formats within the EAEU and the CIS, which is very important in the current macroeconomic situation".
