Official: Iran’s damaged nuclear facilities pose no threat to population
30 March 2026 20:27
Deputy head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Mohammad Reza Kardan, stated that nuclear facilities damaged in strikes by the United States and Israel do not pose a threat to the population.
“At present, the damage caused is not of a nature that would pose a risk to public health. All safety systems, environmental monitoring, and emergency response mechanisms are operating in active mode,” he said.
Kardan emphasised that in the event of any incidents, specialised teams in radiation safety and technical assessment are promptly deployed to carry out the necessary inspections.
