Official: Russia’s strike on Odesa port cannot affect shipments upon Ukrainian grain agreement

Press Secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov has said that the Russian armed forces’ strike on the military infrastructure in the port of Odesa cannot and should not affect the grain shipment as part of the agreement signed in Türkiye’s Istanbul city.

“This is connected with the military infrastructure, rather than with the infrastructure that is used to fulfil the agreements and export grain. Therefore, this cannot and should not affect the beginning of the shipment process,” Peskov told reporters during a press call, according to Kommersant.
