OSCE security forum closes under Georgia with focus on military stability PHOTO

The final meeting of the OSCE Forum for Security Co-operation (FSC) was held under Georgia’s chairmanship, local media reported, citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.

According to the ministry, the priority of Georgia’s chairmanship was to promote dialogue aimed at strengthening peace and security in the OSCE region in accordance with international law and the principles of the Helsinki Final Act.

As part of the chairmanship, three thematic dialogues were held, focusing on armed conflicts, the protection of human rights, the role of women in peace processes, and the implementation of the OSCE Code of Conduct on politico-military aspects of security.

At the final meeting, Archil Karaulashvili, Director of the Directorate for Security Policy, International Organisations and Euro-Atlantic Integration at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, summarised the results of the chairmanship, emphasising the importance of adhering to the OSCE’s fundamental principles amid ongoing security challenges.
