Pakistan, Türkiye discuss Gaza crisis, back coordinated diplomacy on Palestine

30 July 2026 12:11

On July 30, Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar held talks with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, with the two discussing developments in the Middle East and expressing concern over the situation in the Palestinian territories, Pakistan's Foreign Office said.

According to the Foreign Office, the ministers exchanged views on recent regional and international developments, focusing on the conflict in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.

They voiced deep concern over continued Israeli military operations in Gaza and the occupied West Bank, repeated violations at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied East Jerusalem, and the deteriorating humanitarian situation.

Dar and Fidan reaffirmed their support for what they described as the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and discussed Jordan's proposal to convene a meeting of Arab and Islamic countries to coordinate diplomatic efforts in support of the Palestinians, the statement said.
