Moreover, Aktürk revealed that in the past week, Turkish military forces neutralised 26 terrorists in counterterrorism operations in northern Iraq and Syria.

This operation is part of Türkiye's ongoing efforts to dismantle terrorist networks operating along its borders and to ensure national security.
The Turkish National Intelligence Organisation has consistently targeted PKK/KSK members who pose a threat to Türkiye, using intelligence-based strategies to eliminate key operatives.
The PKK, which is recognised as a terrorist organisation by Türkiye, the US, and the EU, has conducted a violent insurgency against Türkiye for over 40 years, resulting in more than 40,000 deaths, including those of women and children.
