Oman, Türkiye discuss maritime security in key shipping routes

A phone conversation was held between Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi and Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, focusing on the security of maritime navigation through strategically important routes.

According to a statement published on the Omani Foreign Ministry’s website, the ministers stressed the need to ensure regional stability and the uninterrupted flow of international trade, which they said is essential for global economic resilience.

The two sides also discussed a range of regional and international developments, and reaffirmed their intention to strengthen coordination and consultations on issues of mutual interest.
