One killed as fire tears through industrial plant in Iran’s Tehran province

A major fire broke out at a plant producing lighters and lighter gas in the Nasirabad industrial town in Iran’s Tehran province, IRNA reports.

According to the Tehran Emergency Medical Service, one person was killed and five others were injured. All of the injured were taken to hospital.

Service spokesperson Shervin Tabrizi said the fire was first detected at 7:20 a.m. local time. Ambulance crews and specialized emergency vehicles were dispatched to the scene.
