Operation GÜRZ-21 in Türkiye: “Grey category” terrorist neutralized

Türkiye has carried out Operation GÜRZ-21 as part of the fight against terrorism.

Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya made a post on his X account highlighting the operation, Caliber.Az reports.

According to the minister, the operation took place in the countryside of the Savur district in Mardin province. It involved gendarmerie UAVs and armoured vehicles, as well as gendarmerie special operations units (JÖH) and commandos.

“During the operation, a member of the PKK/KSK terrorist organization, Özcan Günay, Zafer (Code Named), who is in the grey category, was neutralized in an operation carried out in Mardin,” the post noted.
