Over 100 passengers stranded on train in Norway without heating
More than 100 passengers were left stranded on a train along the Bergen Railway in Norway at -11°C due to an engine malfunction, leading to a difficult two-hour wait without heating or access to toilets.
The train, which had been traveling through the scenic southern region of the country, was halted in Myrdal, a station in the southwest, when the engine failed. The situation left passengers with no option but to remain inside the cold train for the duration of the delay, Caliber.Az reports via local news outlet.
In addition to the lack of heating, passengers were unable to use the onboard toilets, adding to the discomfort. Emergency services were quick to respond, sending a replacement train to assist those stranded.
No injuries have been reported, and passengers were safely transferred to the replacement train after the two-hour ordeal.
