Over 24,500 civilian facilities damaged in US-Israeli strikes on Iran, official says
Iran says thousands of civilian facilities have been damaged in the ongoing attacks by the United States and Israel, according to the head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society Pir Hossein Kolivand.
Kolivand said that more than 24,500 civilian sites across Iran had been affected, Caliber.Az reports per foreign media.
A total of 24,531 facilities in different sectors were reported damaged.
Kolivand stated that the majority of the damage involved residential buildings. He said 19,775 homes had been affected by the strikes.
He also reported damage to commercial infrastructure, noting that 4,511 commercial facilities had been hit. Kolivand warned that the destruction of businesses could have significant economic consequences for people living in the affected areas.
In addition, Kolivand said that 69 schools had been damaged during the attacks. According to his figures, 154 people were killed, while 195 teachers and students were injured.
