Pakistan floods affect over 33 million people, death toll rises to 1,061

The death toll caused by torrential rains across Pakistan has surged to 1,061 since the start of the monsoon season in June.

So far, more than 33 million people have been affected by the floods, Xinhua quotes the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) as saying on August 28.
