29 July 2026 15:55
Pakistan has offered Kazakhstan access to its seaports for cargo transit as part of a meeting between Pakistan's Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry and Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Pakistan, Yerzhan Kistafin.
The minister said Pakistan's ports could serve as key transit hubs not only for Kazakhstan but for the broader Central Asian region, Caliber.Az reports, citing Kazinform.
The two sides also discussed prospects for implementing joint projects in special economic zones.
According to Kazinform, the proposal would expand Kazakhstan's access to markets in the Persian Gulf, Africa, and Southeast Asia.
