Parents of slain Armenian servicemen rally outside Yerevan's Investigative Committee
Parents of soldiers killed in the 44-day Second Karabakh War (2020) held a protest in front of the Investigation Committee building.
They demand to punish all participants and perpetrators of the incident with the use of force against the parents of the fallen soldiers in Yerablur, Caliber.Az reports quoting Armenian media.
On September 21 morning, relatives of the fallen soldiers were waiting at the Pantheon, intending to disrupt Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's visit, but the police used force against protestors, including the mothers of the fallen soldiers, and took them to police stations.
"The entire law enforcement system has become a puppet of one man. It is clear that pressure is also being exerted on the investigators. We want them not to give up and conduct fair investigations and we will support them," said Vahid Sahakyan, father of slain Zhora Sahakyan.
The man noted that the police had applied to the administrative court with the demand to prosecute those parents, who did not obey the lawful demand of the authorities on September 21 in Yerablur.
"Let Vahe Ghazaryan say whether he applied to the court according to his own order. Don't the police have any mothers, if they treat the mothers of the deceased like that," Sahakyan noted.
