Parliament speaker: Armenia will not enter into dispute with Russia
Armenian parliamentary speaker Alen Simonyan has said that Armenia does not intend to enter into disputes or confrontation with Russia, stressing that any outstanding issues between the two countries will be addressed through dialogue.
“All issues will be discussed and resolved. We will not conflict with Russia on any issue, we will not quarrel,” Caliber.Az quotes Simonyan as saying.
Commenting on concerns about possible difficulties faced by Armenian businesspeople in Russia, he said Yerevan would “raise all issues, seeking to resolve them”, adding that Armenia poses no threat and does not seek to become one.
He noted that bilateral frictions are common between states and tend to fluctuate over time. Simonyan also confirmed that he is due to travel to Türkiye in the coming days.
