Part of Armenian cellular operator's subscribers transferred to Turkish network

A part of the subscribers of Armenian mobile operator Ucom were briefly transferred to the Turkish network Turkcell.

Caliber.Az reports that information security expert Samvel Martirosyan wrote about it on his social network page.

At the Turkish border (in border villages or when travelling along border roads) subscribers can be automatically transferred to roaming, but this case, Martirosyan specified, apparently, was not related to roaming.

Speaking to Armenian media, Ucom spokeswoman Diana Mnatsakanyan confirmed that the failure was and lasted about half an hour in both fixed and mobile networks, but has now been completely eliminated.
