Partial collapse of residential building in Astrakhan prompts emergency response PHOTO

A section of a residential building in Astrakhan has collapsed, prompting a major emergency response as rescue teams from Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations work to clear debris and search for possible victims.

The incident occurred at 6 Lyakhov Street, where part of the building’s stairwell gave way earlier today, Caliber.Az reports.

Emergency crews are currently evacuating residents from adjacent sections of the structure as a precautionary measure. The full extent of casualties, if any, has not yet been confirmed.
