Pashinyan accuses Azerbaijan of preventing supply of weapons to Armenia

29 September 2022 12:13

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said some countries, including the republic's allies, refused to supply preliminary ordered weapons worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

"We have cases where hundreds of millions of dollars have been paid but delivery commitments have not been met, including by allied countries. These are painful realities, and we have to deeply analyze the situation," Pashinyan said Thursday at an Armenian government meeting, Caliber.Az reports citing Armenian media.

According to him, this is done with one goal – "to make Armenia renounce sovereignty, statehood, territorial integrity."

"But I want to stress that, contrary to all factors, we are resolute in defending our independence and sovereignty," Pashinyan added.

The head of the government stressed that Azerbaijan plays a significant role in preventing the supply of weapons to Armenia.

According to him, unfortunately, Azerbaijan, in all directions, where possible, prevents the supply of weapons, including by allies.
