Pashinyan accuses former Armenian leaders of concealing Karabakh truth
19 March 2026 15:15
Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan has accused his predecessors — Levon Ter-Petrosyan, Robert Kocharyan, and Serzh Sargsyan — of hiding the truth about the Karabakh settlement from the Armenian public.
Speaking to journalists during a briefing, Pashinyan said that all of his predecessors acknowledged that Karabakh is part of Azerbaijan but deliberately concealed this information from citizens, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
He also highlighted that details of the 1996 Lisbon Summit had been kept secret for decades. “Now the documents have been fully published, and the people can see the facts,” Pashinyan stated, underscoring the need for transparency about past diplomatic decisions.
