Pashinyan administration flags foreign interference in Armenian elections
The head of the Armenian Prime Minister’s Office Arayik Harutyunyan has alleged that those involved in election fraud typically prepare related processes in advance, while leaving the actual distribution of bribes until the final days and hours before voting.
“You have heard dozens of audio recordings that served as grounds for arrests and detentions. And if I am not mistaken, several dozen cases have already been initiated. There are about 200 detained individuals. And essentially, if you compare all these figures, it shows that your claim that we left everything to the last moment and that law enforcement is acting at the last moment does not correspond to reality.
Such statements are also made by political opponents, because it is obvious that both the atmosphere and the sociological surveys we had and still have indicate that their position is not favorable. And their rhetoric, which is especially present in recent days, shows that they are trying to find grounds for their defeat in this entire flow of propaganda disinformation.
And the scale is, in fact, large, because it appears that those involved in this process have more money and have allocated more funds, and not only them, but also some other foreign forces,” Arutyunyan stated.
