Pashinyan congratulates Péter Magyar on election victory
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has congratulated Hungarian opposition leader Péter Magyar following his victory in Hungary’s parliamentary elections, in a vote widely seen as a major political test for the country.
“Extend my cordial congratulations to Péter Magyar & the Hungarian people on the occasion of the victory in the Hungarian elections. These democratic elections reflect the will of the Hungarian people & the future vision of the country,” Pashinyan wrote on X, Caliber.Az reports.

The 2026 parliamentary vote was widely described as one of the most consequential elections in Europe in recent years, pitting Prime Minister Viktor Orbán against a unified opposition led by Magyar, a former ally who later became one of his most prominent challengers.
