Pashinyan demands explanation on troop deployment outside Armenia

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has criticised former President Levon Ter-Petrosyan for deploying Armenian military personnel outside the internationally recognised borders of the Republic of Armenia.

In a statement on his Facebook page, Pashinyan questioned who authorised the deployment of 18-year-old servicemen abroad and under what legal framework, following the adoption and ratification of the Almaty Declaration, Caliber.Az reports. 

He demanded that Ter-Petrosyan clarify the issue and explain whether a public debate on the matter would take place.
