Pashinyan emphasizes strategic partnership with China as catalyst for economic growth
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has highlighted the solid and evolving strategic partnership between Armenia and China, underscoring its potential to unlock significant mutual investment opportunities and foster deeper economic cooperation.
Speaking to journalists, Pashinyan identified the recently signed strategic partnership agreement—concluded during his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping—as a cornerstone for bilateral relations, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
He described the pact as a vital political signal encouraging the business communities of both nations to expand collaboration across economic and other sectors.
“The strategic partnership conveys a positive political message, motivating our respective business sectors to enhance ties,” Pashinyan remarked. He further emphasized that while geographic distance and logistical challenges persist, the unlocking of regional infrastructure holds the key to overcoming these barriers.
“Imagine the potential of loading cargo onto trains in Armenia and having them unloaded directly in China. This transforms the economic landscape entirely. Facilitating and institutionalizing such connectivity is among our paramount objectives,” the Prime Minister stated.
